Lemon Garlic Crab Penne

1 stick butter
4 to 6 cloves sliced garlic
Imitation crab (1 package)
1 carrot
1 medium tomato (diced)
Lemon juice 1/8 to ¼ cup or to taste
Shredded Parmesan
salt

Penne (1/2 package)

Cook penne, drain and cover. Steam carrot. Cut carrot into tiny pieces. Melt butter in skillet. Add salt. Sauté garlic and carrot on low for about 5 or 6 minutes. Add crab and toss to coat. Turn up heat to medium. Heat crab, tossing frequently until warm. Add lemon juice, cover, reduce heat to low, cook for about 5 minutes. Push crab mixture to one side of pan and add pasta, mixing in with crab and coating with butter sauce. Add tomatoes and sprinkle with parmesan, cover and turn off heat. Let stand until cheese melts.

  1. If you can get real crab, I\’m sure it would be wonderful in this dish. Real crab can be hard to find (depending on where you live) and it is much more expensive.Also, the imitation crab is already fully cooked.The main ingreient in the immitation crab I can get my hands on right now is fish protein. It does not contain any real crab meat. I have bought a brand in the past that DID contain some real crab.
